Sappers Obliterate Bridge 600 Pounds Of C4

A multinational force of sappers from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Norway carried out an interoperability training exercise in which they used 300kg of plastic explosives to destroy a mock bridge in Lithuania.

The drill was carried out as part of the Enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Lithuania, whose mission is to act as a deterrent and first response should Russia attempt to annex the Baltic states in a similar manner to Ukraine's Crimean peninsula.

The act of destroying bridges is a timeless tactic to slow enemy ground forces and force them to take alternative, less preferable means to advance troops.
