Azov battalion released drone footage of reported Ukrainian mortar strikes on Russian airborne (VDV) troops' BMD infantry fighting vehicles in the vicinity of Mariupol.

Although much of the supporting footage was likely edited out, no bracketing of mortar fire can be seen. Direct hits like these on point targets are incredibly accurate for most mortar systems.

The Russian BMD vehicle has seen several upgrades over the last 50 years. For a light armored tracked vehicle they are fast, agile, and carry significant firepower.
