A new angle has emerged of the Aug. 17, 2023 shoot down of a Russian Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopter by a Ukrainian anti air team in the vicinity of Robotyne on the Zaporizhzhia front.

The Russian helicopters appear to have been flying at a relatively high and unsafe altitude, given the known man portable anti air defense threat. Unlike planes that often glide after being hit, helicopters tend to drop straight down and crash hard. It appears the ejection seat may have activated following the strike as well.
