Russian Infantry Rocked By Blasts

Aerial footage shows a squad of Russian infantry attempting to reenforce contested positions in the vicinity of Klishchiivka, south of Bakhmut, when they come under accurate unspecified explosive fires.

The first blast, possibly a mortar round, erupts just behind the main body of Russian troops. It was certainly close enough to inflict casualties, but that cannot be determined from the video. The explosion causes the formation to panic and retreat, but as they do, a single grenade-sized blast almost pinpoints one of the Russian soldiers, inflicting further damage to the unit.

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the villages that flank Bakhmut, especially in Klishchiivka. Recent reports by the Ukrainian Armed Forces suggest they have gained a foothold within the village and are now conducting clearing operations to liberate it from Russian control.
