Russian Gunship Flies Combat Mission In Syria

An interesting video from the Russian military shows several angles of an Mi-24 "Hind" helicopter gunship flying a combat mission in Syria.

In the video we can see the feed from the gunner's screen as well as thermal recordings of guided missiles destroying enemy targets. Other video angles show us the spacious troop compartment as a door gunner scans for targets.

The Hind has been described as a flying tank because of it's armored fuselage and rotor blades that can withstand 12.7mm (.50 cal) heavy machine gun round impacts. Yet, unlike most tanks, the gunship is even capable of carrying a squad of infantry soldiers.
