An ambush against a Pakistan military convoy is carried out and recorded by separatist forces of the Baloch Liberation Army on May 6, 2021 in the vicinity of the town of Hoshab in Baluchistan province.
The ambush consists of mostly small arms, but a dismounted Pakistani soldier has an extremely close encounter with some sort of explosion, but it's not clear from the footage if the blast originated from an RPG or an emplaced IED.
The Pakistani troops quickly abandon their vehicle, but seem to be confused as to where the hostile fire is originating from. However, they don't stay on the "X" for long and rapidly retreat. It's not clear how many, if any, casualties were sustained in the attack.
The Baloch people receive very little, if any, representation within the Pakistani government. Currently, there is an ongoing highway project, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which allows Pakistan to extract minerals and other resources from Baluchistan to see to China. However, the Baloch people do not receive any compensation, which has resulted in the current conflict.
