Little known fact, in October of 1965 CDR Clarence J. Stoddard, Executive Officer of VA-25 flying an A-1H Skyraider dropped a toilet on the Vietcong in commemoration of the 6-millionth pound of ordnance.

They always say that the older generations were more serious about war. Back in WW2 and Vietnam you would never see Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, or Airmen doing stupid stuff to the enemy. Everything was stone-cold serious and there was never an ounce of humor to be found. It's obviously the current generation that's ruining the military, because back in their day humor wasn't allowed and the military always held onto it's professional bearing.

Except... for all those times they didn't.

What you're looking at in this video is footage recorded by a studio film camera affixed to the wingman of CDR Clarence J. Stoddard, Executive Officer of VA-25. The footage itself captures part of Operation Sani-flush which was flown in commemoration of the 6-millionth pound of ordinance dropped in Vietnam. As part of their strike package, one singular broken toilet that had been scheduled to go overboard had been modified with tailfins and a nose fuse and then attached to a specially designed rack underneath of the aircraft. During the flight, the studio camera on Stoddard's wingman's plane captured the footage.
