CCTV footage from a checkpoint in Eastern Jerusalem captures the moment a PIJ fighter ambushes a checkpoint of IDF Soldiers, killing one of them and escaping.

18-year-old Cpl Noa Lazar of the Israeli Defense Force was killed today in an ambush at a checkpoint in Eastern Jerusalem. While the IDF Soldiers did react to the contact, the gunman managed to escape the scene of the incident and has still not been captured by law enforcement.

Lazar, a corporal, was posthumously promoted to the rank of sergeant after her death.

A civilian security guard was also injured in the shooting, however the gunman failed to execute the civilian due to a malfunction with his firearm at the time of the shooting.
