Brutal footage coming out of the early days in the Syrian Civil War shows members of the Free Syrian Army falling for the classic marksman trap of trying to rescue a wounded friend in the open.

This footage, which was recorded somewhere near the very beginning of the Syrian Civil War, shows an old school tactic that you only normally see in film and on TV. An injured FSA fighter lays in the open screaming in pain after being clipped by a Syrian Arab Army marksman. His buddies, not well versed in combat yet, run directly out into the open to pick him up and move him to safety without an ounce of hesitation. For their commitment to their friend, a second FSA fighter is shot through the chest and left wounded.
