(NSFW) Insane Close Quarters Trench Battle Recorded By Helmet Cam

Absolutely insane first person action camera footage comes from a recent trench battle in which Ukrainian soldiers are fighting to hold the last supply road into Bakhmut.

The footage starts as the cameraman approaches his fighting position and artillery impacts nearby. As he enters the bunker, he realizes one of his comrades has been killed, and the body lies there next to the surviving defenders. He says a word of prayer for the fallen.

The next scene shows one of the defenders working near the entrance of the fighting position with a shovel. Without warning, an unspecified explosion hits the from of the position, knocking him to the ground. He gives the thumbs up, lucky to be alive.

Suddenly, the radio comes alive. One of the neighboring trenches reports that the Russians are attacking and are inside their trench line. The Ukrainian troops grab their rifles and head out to assess the situation.

Immediately upon leaving the trench, the cameraman sees a Russian soldier at close range who also happens to be throwing a grenade at him. He dives for cover until the grenade bursts. Instead of receding into the hole to be trapped, he makes a rapid flanking maneuver, popping out on the elevated roof of their bunker. He takes aim and kills at least three of the attackers.

He then calls his team out to help him and maintains command and control throughout the rest of the video, flexing his soldiers to different positions to counter the Russians that continuously try to flank them. Multiple visible Russian attackers are engaged and neutralized by rifle fire and grenades.

The battle-hardened Ukrainian hold off the Russian horde once again. Soon mortars begin landing all around them and they return to their dugout fighting position to await the next assault.
