This Ukrainian drone footage shows a Russian MT-LB fighting vehicle in the Avdiivka region. It has been modified to include a large cage over the top, which protects against overhead drone strikes. However, there has been little done to protect against mines, which this driver finds out to the cost of his crew. Viewer discretion is advised.

Although one passenger is seen dismounting at 0:08, the video of the aftermath shows that several of the Russians aboard the MT-LB were not as lucky. The cage represents an improvement considering the many instances of Russian squads getting wiped as they ride atop the vehicles ( an idiotic practice you’d think would only take once), but with MT-LBs getting mined from below as well, it must seem to the Russian infantryman that he can’t win for losing.
