Actual clear footage of the attack that activated the blowout panels on an M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank several weeks ago near Berdychi has just surfaced. It shows the tank being struck, and the crew evacuating the vehicle as the blowout panels are activated, directing the flames vertically away from the crew as they bail out. If you look to the right of the tank, you'll see the crew members exiting the vehicle and maneuvering towards cover.
