Mine Clearing Line Charges Breach Russian Wood Line

To capitalize on gains made on the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukrainian troops of the 36th Marine Brigade fire mine clearing line charges through heavily-mined areas before advancing and setting up positions.

Mine fields have been devastating to the Ukrainian counteroffensive, but analysts are suggesting that the most heavily-mined areas have been surpassed by Ukraine as Russia falls back to first and second lines of defense.

The second lines of defense likely have trenches, tank obstacles, and some mines, but it will be up to the Russians on the front lines to fall back in an orderly manner and take up and defend the positions.

The amount of equipment the Russians continue to field and lose has been astonishing, but ultimately, the Russians have a finite amount of serviceable equipment.
