Krab Self-Propelled Artillery Firing On Russian Positions

This footage shows the interior view of a Polish AHS "Krab" being fired and reloaded as its Ukrainian operators hammer an unseen Russian position. The crew is shown switching ammo types and sending them down range.

The Polish-made AHS Krab was first designed in 2006 and refined throughout the 2010s. Its main armament is a 155-millimeter howitzer, as shown here. Interestingly, the shells being used here are reportedly Pakistani in origin. The operator seems to have plenty of room to work, which is fairly rare in self-propelled guns and armor. This suggests either a spacious cabin, a portable gunner, or both.

This is the first conflict in which the Krab has been used, having been donated to Ukraine in 2022. A full complement of 120 is expected to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of 2024, although thus far 23 of them have been reported destroyed, with a further six damaged.
