IDF Armor Supported by Infantry Moving Into Gaza

Footage released officially by the Israeli Defense Force shows images of Israeli armor supported by infantry moving into the Gaza region. While there are no true scenes of combat shown in these clips, it does show some of the first infantrymen to cross over directly into Gaza itself.

The situation on the ground in Gaza continues to be shrouded in a bit of mystery at the current time with the only footage from the region that's trustworthy being released by the Israeli Defense Force. This is because the IDF has severed the region's internet connection to prevent it from being used by Hamas operatives to conduct command and control throughout the region.

This severing of the lines of communication however has the unintended consequence of making it nearly impossible for any information from the Palestinian side of the conflict to be released. While those of us working in the information space see this as a negative, the Israelis likely see it as a positive, as it also decreases the visibility on the conflict, which is one of the Hamas terror organization's greatest weapons against Israeli retaliation.
