On March 11, 2021 Deputy Andrew Hall responded to an individual throwing rocks at traffic on Interstate 680. When arriving on the scene, Deputy Hall approached the suspect asking him to stop.

As the suspect now begins J-walking, Hall continues to approach the individual. The suspect who was later identified as Tyrell Wilson, was asked multiple times to stop by Hall, but refused.

Moments later, Wilson stopped in the middle of the intersection and drew a knife. Taunting Hall, Wilson yells out "Kill me" seconds before Deputy Hall fires a single shot, hitting Wilson. Wilson immediately drops to the ground from his wound.

Wilson was transported shortly after the Officer involved shooting to a local hospital where he would pass away six-days later from his wounds.
