The US-led coalition Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve released a mashup video showing multiple strikes against 10 ISIS-occupied caves in Iraq's Hamrin Mountains on Apr. 29th, 2020. An OIR spokesman said five to 10 insurgents were killed in the strikes.

The Hamrin mountain range is located in Diyala Province near the Iranian border. The US has been trying to drive ISIS out of the mountains for at least a year. The terror group uses the inhospitable terrain and intricate cave network as a safe have from which to plan and execute further attacks.
