Careless Syrian Conscript Takes Out Buddy with RPG Backblast

Published 6 months ago

Footage from an unknown group inside of the Free Syrian Army captures the moment a Syrian Conscript takes out his buddy with the backblast of his RPG.

For those of you who aren't totally up to speed on the still on-going conflict in Syria, you should know that a large majority of the Syrian Army is comprised of conscripted troops without proper training. It is not uncommon to see Syrian troops doing things that are completely nonsensical on the battlefield. That's because, especially at the beginning of the Syrian Civil War, a majority of the troops sent to the front-lines for Syria had absolutely no combat training. They were sent to the front lines after a basic gear issue with nothing but the equipment they could carry.

This video, which was recorded in 2013 at the earliest stages of the still on-going conflict, is an example of some of those conscript training issues coming front and center for the camera.

Backblast area not clear.
