If you're going to be on the water, you better be prepared to provide your own source of cover in the form of fire superiority. There is a reason that Riverine operators like those in Marine Corps FAST units and members of the Navy's SWCC teams religiously bring a large number of machine guns with them on their boats. You only have two things keeping you alive on the water, speed and a very high volume of fire.

These barges appear to lack both of those things, which makes them prime targets for exploitation by Anti-Junta guerillas.
