This IDF-provided footage shows a pro-Palestine militant firing an RPG at a nearby Israeli tank. What is significant about this incident is that the shot appears to have been deliberately taken from an entrance to Al-Quds Hospital. Al-Quds reportedly ceased operations on 11/12/23 due to ongoing fighting- however, firing in the general direction of a hospital will still be met with extreme international scrutiny. While the shooter's specific faction, whether Hamas or PIJ, remains unknown, the strategy at work seems to be to either fire with impunity at Israeli forces, or to cause Israel to invite international backlash by firing back.
