Unconfirmed video reportedly shows an oil tanker erupting in flames after it was targeted by an "explosive-laden boat" while it was anchored in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah port on Dec. 14, 2020.

The Hafnia-owned, Singapore-flagged tanker, BW Rhine was targeted with an explosion that resulted in a fire. The tanker's hull was damaged.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry Of Energy told state media outlets that the attack resulted in a "small fire," which would seem to be an attempt to downplay the effectiveness of the attack when compared to the unconfirmed video.

The attack was likely carried out Houthi saboteurs facilitated by Iran. There have been multiple similar attacks to Saudi Arabia's oil industry since November.
