Ukrainian SOF Units Continue to Bleed Russian Convoys

An alleged member of an elite Ukrainian SOF unit records an ambush against a Russian convoy as the Russians continue to encircle and close on Kyiv.

There's a couple things worth noting in this video. First and foremost, I'd recognize the end of that barrel anywhere. This Ukrainian warfighter is shouldered behind an M240B medium machine gun. At the end of January, the Americans sent a large batch of weapons to the Ukrainian military, this could be a weapon directly from that shipment. The second thing you'll notice is that this guy has amazing fire discipline, and he isn't engaging the Russians from his fighting position.

There's two reasons why he wouldn't be engaging in this ambush from where he is located. There are either friendly forces in front of him that he can't see and he doesn't want to risk fratricide, or the ambush doesn't require that he gives his position away yet. Either way, it's nice to see a professional warfighter in action, even if the circumstances are pretty awful.

The only real context we know for sure about this video is that it was released by a member of the Ukrainian Special Operations community. For obvious reasons, the location the video was recorded in was not specified. Oh, and I can already see the comments about how this is Ukrainian propaganda. The Russian convoy was entirely destroyed.
