Ukrainian SOF Conducts Prisoner Snatch

This GoPro-style footage depicts Ukrainian Special Operations Forces as they infiltrate a Russian position and exfiltrate with a pair of captured prisoners.

In an operation reminiscent of work done along the Mekong some sixty years ago, the Ukrainian team inserts using an inflatable rubber boat at 0:13. At approximately 0:37, an exchange of fire begins with Russian troops. At 0:44, the cameraman expends almost a whole magazine in short order, firing on the Russian position.

At 01:16, the footage cuts to the aftermath of the firefight, in which a Russian prisoner is placed in a prone position. The cameraman duct-tapes his hands behind his back while another Ukrainian covers him with a rifle barrel pointed at the prisoner’s head. At 01:59, a Russian, presumably wounded, is shown crawling toward the cameraman. The footage cuts to the pair of prisoners at 02:06. Approximately thirty seconds later, the SOF team is shown leaving the area in their boat.
