A Ukrainian sniper from the 28th Mechanized Brigade takes a extended range shot at a Russian soldier working in a trench fighting position. The Russian soldier can be seen briefly holding up an entrenching tool before the shot is fired.

The actual distance isn't known, and there are too many unknown factors to make an accurate guess. The time between the shot and the targets reaction is approximately three seconds. It would take a standard velocity 7.62 NATO round almost 2 seconds to fly a thousand meters, longer if subsonic ammo was being used to compliment the suppressor. It's not clear if the rifleman hit his target.
