Harrowing footage recorded by a Ukrainian medic's helmet camera shows the delivery of a severely wounded Ukrainian soldier to her frontline ambulance.

The exact nature of the soldier's injuries is unknown, but he may have stepped on an anti personnel mine as his right foot is wrapped in an Israeli bandage, and his right shin appears to have fragmentation injuries. There is also a tourniquet high and tight on his right thigh suggesting there may have been arterial bleeding from that extremity.

On his left lower leg he has another Israeli bandage, but significant tissue damage can be determined high on his upper leg at the junctional area. It appears a tourniquet has been placed on his upper left leg, but the significant damage may be higher up.

There doesn't appear to be any current massive hemorrhaging, so either the bleeding has been controlled (good) or he has entered decompensated shock (not good) in which he has essentially run out of blood and his body is shunting the remainder to the core vital organs.

The casualty doesn't appear to be fully conscious, but he is still visibly breathing. The medic produces a syringe with an unknown substance, likely morphine or ketamine for initial pain management.

Just before the footage ends, she grabs her scissors to begin stripping him of all clothing and gear to fully assess the man's injuries and treat the life treating wounds in order of importance. She can buy him some time, but this man needs a fully equipped trauma center if he is to survive.
