Casual video footage released by a Ukrainian Soldier captures a massive artillery fire mission being conducted against Russian forces near Bakhmut.

I have to preface this by saying we don't know the full picture of this fire mission, but something that's been seriously bothering me throughout the entire conflict is both the Russian and Ukrainian's almost lackadaisical attitude towards fire missions like this.

While I've never been in a trench warfare situation before, one thing we always learned in the infantry was that fire without maneuver is a waste of ammunition. Now, as I said earlier we don't know the full picture, for all we know there could be a platoon-sized unit maneuvering on the Russians on the other end of this camera and the guy recording is just chilling on post, but the trend for most of this conflict has been Ukrainians and Russians sitting around while artillery endlessly hammers away at opposing positions for days on end.
