TikTok video shows the launch of a surface-to-air missile from a Ukrainian Buk "TELAR" air defense system toward an unidentified Russian war plane. The missile appears to make a hit, but the video ends before any confirmation can be made.

What appears to be wreckage can be seen falling, although it's possible it may also be odd-looking countermeasure flares. If the Russian jet did happen to launch flares, it would have done little to mitigate being hit as the missiles use radar to track rather than IR "heat-seeking" properties.
