Ukrainian BMP-2 Takes A Direct Hit From Russian Proxies

Footage from early in the Ukraine War (2014) shows what appears to a Ukrainian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle taking a direct hit from some sort of pro-Russian explosive projectile, possibly an anti tank guided missile or a rocket propelled grenade.

The vehicle reacts in a fiery explosion, which is usually seen more in Hollywood films than on the battlefield. It's likely that the projectile hit and the fuel tank or possibly ignited some sort of fuel containers stored on the exterior of the vehicle.

This footage was taken from a larger documentary called "Heart of the Volunteer," which focused on volunteers medical troops that fought in the war. Watch that documentary by clicking: HERE
