A compilation video of Ukraine’s 82nd Airmobile Brigade defending a town in Kharkiv Oblast. FPV drones and indirect fire target Russian infantrymen in the labyrinth of shattered buildings. Earlier this year the Russians attempted to open a new front by enveloping Kharkiv, but their offensive has bogged down, devouring men and machines. Mostly infantry have been committed to this fight, and interesting choice considering that Russian began the war with little in the way of traditional light infantry. A slight shift in Ukrainian tactics is noticeable, as they appear to rely more heavily on FPV drones and less on artillery concentrations. This tactical choice may have been born of necessity, as a reduction in the flow of arms from the west, caused in part by partisan shenanigans in the U.S. Congress, resulted in severe shortages of artillery shells. Ukrainian units relied more heavily on drones, which have become a major component in their tactical system.
