Dashcam footage recorded by a police cruiser from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office shows a seemingly simple traffic stop turn into an all out gunfight in the street in just a matter of seconds.

At about 6:51 seconds into the video, one of the deputies asks the passenger of the vehicle to step out. From there everything goes from 0-10 in about 3 seconds flat.

Deputy Evan Cubbage was shot three times by the suspect before the second deputy brought an end to the gunfight by stopping the threat. The suspect, who has not been named yet, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident by EMS.

Deputy Cubbage was transported to a nearby medical facility. His injuries were proclaimed to be non-life threatening. The female was detained for further questioning. The shoot is still under investigation.
