The Soviet 2B9 Vasilek 82mm Gun-Mortar was spotted in use by Ukrainian forces today, and I don't care if it's a Soviet-era weapon system. I want one, and you can't make me not want it.

So, for most of my adult life the MK19 has been the peak of machine gun gunnery for me. Today, I came across this video and discovered that the Vasilek 82mm Gun-Mortar is a thing, and I think I need to have an affair with the MK19 for it, just temporarily. The MK19 will always be my baby, but I think I'd give up my right pinky finger to shoot this thing just once.

After some light research, it appears this weapon was designed in 1967 by Soviet Russia. It was first fielded in 1970, and it was extensively used during the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. It has a maximum firing range of 4,270 meters, and can fire 82mm rounds at up to 890f/s.
