A third-world caveman member of the Taliban gets behind the controls of a modern aircraft and the expected happens as the bird comes crashing back down to Earth within minutes of liftoff.

Billions of dollars of military hardware fell into the hands of the Taliban as the former Afghan government collapsed and the US military haphazardly withdrew. Those wayward arms and equipment will pose security threats and fuel instability in the region for decades into the future.

However, much of that equipment takes high levels of training to operate and maintain, and most of these guys are the products of several generations of inbreeding and can't read. The Taliban would be better off selling the aircraft and other complex equipment.
