Footage out of Columbus, Ohio from 1993 shows an armed standoff that was ended by a police sharpshooter as he blasts the pistol out of the suspect's hands.

SWAT sniper Mike Plumb not only knew he could hit the pistol, but decided he would hit the revolver's cylinder to forcefully disassemble the weapon in the process. Once the suspect, identified as Doug Conley, was no longer armed, police rushed in to make the arrest.
