Video published by the Kurdish Afrin Liberation Forces (HRE) shows a skilled rifleman using a single shot to take out an expensive surveillance camera at a Turkish base in the Ain Issa subdistrict of Syria's Raqqa province.

The operation demonstrates that militaries relying solely on their technological advantage can quickly be humbled by a smaller less-equipped force that has better basic soldiering skills. The cost of the camera is likely thousands of dollars compared to the bullet which costs less than a dollar.

The pro-Turkish proxies most likely used the camera in place of a human guard, which now puts the entire base at risk. They will now be forced to manually secure that side of the base with multiple observation posts and guard shifts until the camera is fixed.
