Russians Mystified by Blowout Panels on Leopard 2

Footage circulating on Telegram shows the absolute and total destruction of a Leopard 2 main battle tank after a direct hit from a Russian FPV drone. According to the Russians the tank was completely devastated, the crew was completely wiped out, and the entire line collapsed with Ukrainians retreating in every single direction because Western tanks are weak.

At least, that's what they think happened. All of the above stems from the fact that there are people in this world who have no idea what a tank blow-out panel is, or how it works to channel ammunition cook-offs away from the crew and vehicle to keep not only the tank crew safe, but the tank itself fully in-tact and recoverable in the event of a catastrophic ammunition failure exactly like this. While this was an extremely solid hit from the Russian drone operator who scored it, it is not at all the big win they think it is unless they were able to directly follow up with accurate artillery fire on the tank to achieve total destruction.

All tanks are not created equal, and only Soviet era tanks meet the requirements to enter the turret toss Olympics.
