Unconfirmed video shows a captured Russian ambulance vehicle being used to haul weapons and ammunition, which if true, would be a serious violation of the international laws of war which state that the use of ambulances or other medical transport equipment bearing medical insignia may not be used for military attacks.

According to Human Rights Watch, "Such attacks are war crimes under the Additional Protocols of 1977 to the Geneva Conventions, the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and customary laws of war. In addition to endangering medical personnel by casting suspicion on their neutrality, it undermines their ability to deliver urgent medical assistance to civilians and combatants on all sides of a conflict.

A translation of the video as follows: "Dear Ukrainians, my fellow countrymen. Enemy has come to our land, treacherously, cunningly hiding behind the medical vans. Look, I'm showing you: 'Doctor on duty' 'Paramedic' bandages. They are all with these bandages of doctors, paramedics, and medics. Yet, look in the car to see what they carry in these medical vehicles. They fill their vehicles with ammunition. I'll show you what they want to feed us. This is what they eat, but they want to feed us with all these missiles. That's called 'high-explosive fragmentation' *missile* small. Have you filmed it all, Maksim? The column?"

Many witness videos coming out of Ukraine show Russian military vehicles with flat tires, but without any other visible damage. Some online analyses have claimed that Russian wheeled vehicles are equipped with extremely low quality Chinese-made tires, which are prone to self destruction.
