Russian Missile Strikes Ukrainian Apartment Buildings in Zaporizhzhia

On or about March 22, 2023, the Russian military launched a missile strike against Zaporizhzhia, which made contact and detonated against two apartment buildings. The subsequent explosion hurt approximately 34 individuals, 29 of whom needed to go to the hospital for their injuries. It was later reported that one of these individuals had died due to their injuries. The Zaporizhzhia first responders reportedly rescued five individuals and a dog trapped in their apartments due to debris. The further statuses of the injured are unknown, but no additional deaths related to the incident have been reported. The actual target for the Russian missile strike is still unknown.
