Footage from around Oct. 31, 2022 shows a Russian Mi-8 "Hip" helicopter being shot down by an unspecified Ukrainian man portable air defense system (MANPADS). The Russian helo can be seen flying some distance following the strike while totally engulfed in flames. It is then shown sitting in a field, mostly in one piece, but burning. It's possibly that some sort of emergency landing was made.

The helicopter was reportedly shot down by the Ukrainian 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade near Berestove, in Donetsk.
