Russian Hit By Artillery While Streaming Selfie Video

Footage recorded by a Russian soldier while making a selfie video shows the man being hit by an artillery strike, likely ending his military career.

Various rough translations of the video suggest he is talking about a battle they had just taken part in, and then he goes on to complain about the weather. Just before the video ends he is in the midst of giving advice about how to survive the war when the artillery round impacts his location.

It's not clear if he was live streaming or just recording, but signals intelligence and using electronic signatures to develop targets has been an ongoing technique for each side in this conflict, and ground troops continue to engage in the potentially self destructive act of using mobile communication devices while on the front lines.
