Russian Forces Allegedly Wipe Out Ukrainian Recon Team

Drone video released by Russian forces shows a Ukrainian reconnaissance team moving through the open on the Russian side of the Antonovsky bridge. The brief movement compromises the team and allows Russian artillery to target them directly.

According to the Russians, this short video is confirmation that the team was entirely wiped out by the artillery strike. Unfortunately, that's not how a battle damage assessment works.

What's interesting about this footage however is that it was recorded just a few short minutes from where this video was filmed at the beginning of the conflict, which ads some serious perspective to the war at large. Both sides have been fighting a sustained near-peer fight for almost two years, and the conflict is still happening within a five minute drive of where the fighting was the most intense at the beginning of everything.
