Russian Fighter Jet Crashes Into Residential Building

Russian state media has confirmed that an Su-34 on a training flight in Western Russia crashed into a residential building in the city of Yeysk near the Sea of Azov.


According to the pilots, who managed to eject moments before the fighter jet crashed into the building, the crash was caused by the ignition of one of the engines during take-off which caused the jet's fuel to ignite inside of the war plane.


Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed local rescue assets to provide assistance to the victims of the Su-34 crash, the Kremlin said in a statement. They also added that Putin ahs received a full debrief of the situation.


At least four people were killed in the incident which wounded 25 civilians. Six people are still reported as missing.
