Russian armed forces released a video highlighting rotary-wing combat aviation aircraft including Mi-28 attack helicopters and Mi-8 armored assault helicopters.

The footage is likely intended to show that despite a high number of lost aircraft due to Ukrainian air defense, Russia still has capable combat aircraft. The reality is that MANPADS and self propelled air defense systems have denied freedom of maneuver for either side's manned aircraft and combat aircraft are only able to operate well within their established air defense zones.
