Some footage dating back as early as May 8th, 2022, shows a platoon of Russian soldiers and several BTR-80's engaging in an intense firefight from an unidentified area in Ukraine.

One thing I found interesting about this footage is how many of these troops are representing the Soviet Union flag on their shoulder, opposed to their standard white, blue, and red flag. This isn't the first instance we have seen the Soviet Union flag being flaunted throughout the Ukraine-Russia conflict, but this footage is quite different in nature.

Really, these patches could be motivational, historical, etc., but to me it is quite odd that an entire unit is seen wearing them in unison.
