Russian forces attempted an armored assault against Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Avdiivka, but took heavy losses when Ukrainian artillery started falling.

Aftermath footage shows the destruction of approximately six BMP infantry fighting vehicles, one T-72 tank, and one MT-LB armored personnel carrier.

Avdiivka is a hotly contested northern suburb of Donetsk city.
