Russia has released more footage of the incident involving the UK destroyer HMS Defender, and the footage contains the warning shots the British government denied took place.

The footage, filmed from a Russian Coast Guard ship even shows the BBC journalist Jonathan Beale making his report from the deck of the HMS Defender. So while the BBC report and this new Russian footage destroys the UK's initial denial of the incident, it doesn't change the fact that the HMS Defender was traversing through international and Ukrainian waters that Russia is illegally claiming as their own.

“We don’t recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea, it was illegal. These are Ukrainian waters, and it was entirely right to use them to go from A to B,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.
