The state sponsored Russian news agency RT has released new footage from the attack on Hostomel Airport during the initial hours of the invasion of Ukraine.

Not shown in this footage is the VDV receiving zero air support, and the subsequent defeat and destruction of the VDV unit utilized in the attempt to control the airport. It is believed that the unit used in this attack has been degraded by at least 50% as reported by the BBC, who ran a special documentary following this unit specifically through open source intelligence and reports with their family members still in Russia.
