Drone footage released by Ukrainian forces shows Russian armor attempting to flee Lyman with a squad sized unit of Russian infantry riding on the roof. They're ambushed by Ukrainian armor as soon as they hit the road.

It's unclear if the Russians were attempting to surrender before the Ukrainians opened fire, however there does appear to be a brief pause after the two vehicles both aim their weapons at each other. The moment the Ukrainian armor piece opens fire, the Russians on the roof and the vehicle both scramble to get out of the other vehicle's line of fire. Judging from the carnage left in the road when the Russian vehicle pulls off, not all of the infantrymen were successful.
