Police Officer Dragged by Truck and Hit with a Hammer

On April 15, 2021 Police Officers responded to reports of 61-year-old Luke Oeltjenbruns refusing to wear a mask in a home improvement store.

As police arrived on the scene, Oeltjenbruns had struck an employee with a piece of lumber moments before fleeing the store. Seen in the footage above, Oeltjenbruns struggles to maneuver his truck as he slams back and forth into both police cruisers.

Finally breaking free from both vehicles, Oeltjenbruns started speeding off, dragging an Officer who's arm is stuck in the driver's side window of the truck. Reports state, as the truck was speeding away, dragging the Officer, Oeltjenbruns was beating the Officer in the head with a hammer.

After coming to a halt, Oeltjenbruns was arrested and charged with first-degree assault with great bodily harm.

The Officer that was dragged was last reported in a stable condition.

Lucky for the Officer, Oeltjenbruns decided to cause less harm than he could have. Not saying getting hit with a hammer isn't harmful, be at least he was not slammed into a building or oncoming traffic at high speeds...
