An oil depot near the Crimean Bridge on the Tamen Peninsula was hit by a Ukrainian drone strike, causing a catastrophic fire that Russian officials are now struggling to contain.

"The fire has been classified as the highest rank of difficulty," Veniamin Kondratyev, the governor of the Krasnodar region lying across the Sea of Azov from Ukraine, said on Telegram, adding that there were no casualties yet reported from the drone strike.

Ukraine has yet to claim responsibility for the attack, which is in line with Ukraine's standard operating procedure of not claiming these attacks directly.
