Dashcam footage released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the moments a State Trooper slammed into the rear-end of a semi-truck on I-70.

On the afternoon of December 15th, 2021, Trooper Jarid Fitzpatrick was heading West on I-70 at high speeds, when he slammed into the trailer of a semi-truck driving in the slow lane through a construction zone. After reviewing aerial news footage and seeing photographs taken at the scene of the crash, it is astounding Trooper Fitzpatrick survived given the nature of the vehicles integrity after the crash.

At the time of this writing, the incident is still under investigation as to why Trooper Fitzpatrick was traveling at these speeds and what exactly was taking place the moments before he made impact with the semi-truck.
